“Jiffy” Mix Packaging Refresh Process   For this project, I first did research on the Jiffy company, so I could understand how they started and what they stood for as a brand. This step was done with another classmate, and we went over the company’s history and major milestones.

My mood board for this project was based on simplifying the box, using fewer fonts, and a type illustration style for the imagery.

For the color palette, I chose colors that I thought best represented the brand itself, and different colors that would go best with their respective product.

For the fonts on this project, I wanted to keep them minimal and as few as possible. I went with a clean sans-serif font to help modernize the packaging, but used a handwritten font to keep the family focus aspect of the brand.

My ideation for this project was mainly designing and trying a bunch of different imagery styles, the placement of elements, and how I treated color on the box. This helped me to figure out which parts did and didn’t work, keeping small parts of most versions in my final design.
